INEX Corporation engaged in the development, sale and support of affordable, easy to use software solutions for conducting electronic commerce over the Internet. The Company's products permitted functions such as order taking, authorization, payment processing, security and customer service to be performed centrally by a "back office" transaction management system, allowing merchants and other content providers to focus on management of the "front office" content at their distributed Web sites. The Company's applications were completely scalable, making them suitable for organizations of all sizes.
Our initial investment in INEX Corporation was made April 1997. Compaq made a subsequent investment in April 1998. In December 1998 our investment in INEX Corporation was sold. In August 1999, INEX was acquired by Infospace (NASDAQ: INSP) |
